Nooooooo Every one of this movies created my childhood and my love for anime I was trying to control my shock But when it show spirited away I just screamed hahahah. Reminds me alot of Warriors. I think all of the movies we've watched in my Japanese class at school so far were studio Ghibli movies Aha this is going to ruin it but o h well. It really is hard to put across how beautiful the animation is in this movie - whilst I expect no less from the artists/Studio in question, this movie made me want to pick up a pen and draw as each line felt perfectly placed and simply stunning.
It's a zany fairy tale story (and not particularly western, but all the more refreshing for it) that is simple and heart warming and it's told with a lot of thought and care put in to every moment.
The English dub (I had to watch with this due to the small screen size making the subtitles option impractical for my viewing) is read beautifully and the songs and wisdom of the words is translated without any loss of meaning or impact.
I've had this film on my "to watch list" for sometime and my biggest regret is taking so long to get to it - and I'm looking forward to watching it again soon.

Kaguyahime no monogatari cda. The Tale of The Princess Kaguya was the late Isao Takahata's final anime masterpiece film. He was the greatest inspirational director who have directed many Studio Ghibli movies, including Grave of the Fireflies. Generic, one-dimensional characters (ie., the douchey businessman, probably son character. But worse, by the trailer, it's quite obvious that the movie will be full of animals talking. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But the script seems evidently uninspired. I'd much rather watch a movie where the animals either talked with purpose, or not at all. I'm sure it will be enjoyable for children, though.

I will be looking forward to seeing this movie. At my local Walmart's Bargain Bin. Whaaat? How's that happening and I didn't even know! OMG. This film was an incredible watching experience for me. The film progressed from fairly bland to profoundly moving. As I continued to watch Princess Kaguya come of age and mature, I became completely captivated by what I was seeing. I was so in awe of how the animators were able to make her face so expressive and full of genuine emotion. I could tell just by watching her face what was going on inside her heart. When she felt something, I felt it too. She is arguably the most beautiful female character in the history of animation. Her journey of discovery affected me to the point where I couldn't stop thinking about it. I knew by the end that I had just witnessed a story that would never leave me, which has rarely happened over the course of my life. Thank you, Studio Ghibli.
